Patrons

Here is an alphabetical listing of all of the 12 Worlds patrons. It’s pretty self-explanatory.

AEARON

The patron of seas, Aearon is neutral. She is generally represented by the image of the sun setting over an endless sea, and grants access to the Ocean domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the trident.

AINU

The patron of celestials, Ainu is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of a glowing winged humanoid lacking in any identifying features, and grants access to the Celestial domain (described in the Book of Exalted Deeds). Ainu’s favored weapon is the falchion.

ALAGOS

The patron of storms, Alagos is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of a dark thundercloud with a tornado extending down, and grants access to the Weather domain (described in Complete Divine). Her favored weapon is the falchion.

ALASSE

The patron of joy, Alasse is neutral good. He is generally depicted by a pair of circles and curved line in the shape of a smile, on a yellow background, and grants access to the Joy domain (described in the Book of Exalted Deeds). Alasse’s favored weapon is the sickle.

ALCAR

The patron of glory, Alcar is neutral good. He is generally depicted as a fully armored knight on a pure white steed, flying a banner of pure gold. Alcar grants access to the Glory domain (described in Spell Compendium), and his favored weapon is the lance.

ALGORTH

The patron of undead, Algorth is neutral evil. He is generally represented by the image of a skeleton, and grants access to the Undeath domain (described in Spell Compendium); his favored weapon is the scythe.

ALMA

The patron of wealth, Alma is neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of gold and platinum coins stacked on a table, and grants access to the Wealth domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the light hammer.

AMARTH

The patron of fate, Amarth is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a blind man placing a crown upon a babe, who is in turn holding the sword that has just pierced the blind man’s stomach. Amarth grants access to the Fate domain (described in Spell Compendium), and his favored weapon is the longsword.

ANNON

The patron of portals, Annon is neutral. She is generally represented by the image of a free-standing stone arch covered in runic symbols, and grants access to the Portal domain (described in Spell Compendium). Annon’s favored weapon is the kukri.

ANOR

The patron of the sun, Anor is lawful neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of a female walking across a field and lit by a beam of sunlight from directly above. The female’s species changes depending on the cleric wielding the image. Anor grants access to the Sun domain. Her favored weapon is the longsword.

ASAR

The patron of time, Asar is lawful neutral. He is generally represented by the image of a sundial, and grants access to the Time domain (described in Spell Compendium). Asar’s favored weapon is the ranseur.

ASCAR

The patron of luck, Ascar is chaotic neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a pair of dice with all sides showing six pips, and grants access to the Luck domain. His favored weapon is the dart.

BALAR

The patron of strength, Balar is neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of an individual lifting a massive boulder over his head, with the species of the figure changing to match that of the cleric. Balar grants access to the Strength domain, and his favored weapon is an orc double axe.

BANGO

The patron of commerce, Bango is neutral good. He is generally represented by the image of a booth in an open-air market; Bango grants access to the Trade domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the club.

BAUGLIR

The patron of tyrants, Bauglir is lawful neutral. He is generally represented by the image of an empty throne, and grants access to the Tyranny domain (described in Spell Compendium). Bauglir’s favored weapon is the bastard sword.

BEIN

The patron of balance, Bein is neutral. He is generally represented by a yin-yang symbol, and grants access to the Balance domain (described in Spell Compendium). Bein’s favored weapon is the shortspear.

BERIO

The patron of protection, Berio is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a suit of full plate armor and a tower shield but devoid of any weaponry. Berio provides access to the Protection domain; his favored weapon is the morningstar.

BRAND

The patron of nobles, Brand is lawful neutral. She is generally represented by a crown sitting atop a kite shield without a coat of arms. Brand grants access to the Nobility domain (described in Spell Compendium), and her favored weapon is the lance.

CASAL

The patron of gnomes, Casal is neutral good. She is generally depicted as a gnome extracting a raw gem from a cavern wall, and grants access to the Gnome domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the gnome hooked hammer.

CELVA

The patron of beasts, Celva is chaotic neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a large wolf with opened jaws. Celva grants access to the Bestial domain (described in the Book of Vile Darkness) and his favored weapon is the punching dagger.

CERTH

The patron of arcane sigils, Certh is neutral. She is represented by a runic character, unique to the character presenting it. Certh grants access to the Rune domain (described in Spell Compendium); her favored weapon is the short sword.

CEVE

The patron of earth, Ceve is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a towering mountain, and grants access to the Earth domain. His favored weapon is the heavy pick.

DELU

The patron of hatred, Delu is neutral evil. He is generally depicted by the image of a snarling twisted face with solid red eyes, and grants access to the Hatred domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the flail.

DOND

The patron of darkness, Dond is neutral evil. He is generally depicted by a featureless black symbol, and grants access to the Darkness domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the sap.

ELEN

The patron of elves, Elen is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of an elf walking under a starry sky, and grants access to the Elf domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the rapier.

ELU

The patron of healing, Elu is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of a crimson cross whose arms are equal length, and grants access to the Healing domain. His favored weapon is the quarterstaff.

FLAE

The patron of pestilence, Flae is neutral evil. She is generally depicted by the image of a swarm of rats, and grants access to the Pestilence domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the flail.

FOEG

The patron of evil, Foeg is neutral evil. She is generally depicted by a featureless black plain marred only by the rivulets of blood flowing from top to bottom of the image, and grants access to the Evil domain. Her favored weapon is the spiked gauntlet.

GATH

The patron of caves, Gath is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a gaping hole in the ground, and grants access to the Cavern domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the heavy pick.

GLAM

The patron of orcs, Glam is neutral evil. She is generally represented by the image of an orc warrior standing atop a pile of corpses victorious, and grants access to the Orc domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the orc double axe.

GOLLOR

The patron of magic, Gollor is neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of a lidless eye bound within a pentacle, and grants access to the Magic domain. Her favored weapon is the staff (including quarterstaffs).

GOTH

The patron of warfare, Goth is neutral evil. He is generally depicted by the image of a battlefield as far as the eye can see with the fallen trampled underfoot, and he grants access to the War domain. Goth’s favored weapon is the greatsword.

GURTH

The patron of death, Gurth is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a skull, the species of which depends on the cleric. Gurth grants access to the Death domain. His favored weapon is the scythe.

GWENT

The patron of agreements, Gwent is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a signed contract, and grants access to the Pact domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the heavy mace.

GWILITH

The patron of air, Gwilith is lawful neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of a cloud with the sun behind it, and grants access to the Air domain. Her favored weapon is the net.

HORTHO

The patron of speed, Hortho is neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a pair of winged boots, and grants access to the Celerity domain (described in Spell Compendium). Hortho’s favored weapon is the rapier.

HUD

The patron of groups, Hud is lawful neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of two hands clasped together in friendship, and grants access to the Community domain (described in Spell Compendium). Hud’s favored weapon is the longspear.

HUOR

The patron of courage, Huor is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a single armored humanoid standing firm in the face of a horde of undead. Huor grants access to the Courage domain, and his favored weapon is the warhammer.

INGEM

The patron of suffering, Ingem is neutral evil. He is generally represented by a picture of a humanoid with its ears cut off and eyes gouged out, rendering its species unknown. Ingem grants access to the Suffering domain (described in Spell Compendium); his favored weapon is the kukri.

INGOLE

The patron of mysticism, Ingole is neutral evil. He is generally depicted by the image of a massive tome with a pentacle inscribed on its cover, and grants access to the Mysticism domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the light mace.

IST

The patron of knowledge, Ist is neutral good. He is generally depicted by an open tome, the pages of which are covered in arcane sigils. Ist grants access to the Knowledge domain. His favored weapon is the kukri.

ISTUI

The patron of oracles, Istui is neutral. He is generally depicted by a lit candle with rune-inscribed stones scattered at its base, and grants access to the Oracle domain (described in Spell Compendium). Istui’s favored weapon is the club.

LEND

The patron of travel, Lend is neutral. She is generally depicted by a winding road leading off into mountains in the distance, and grants access to the Travel domain. Lend’s favored weapon is the dagger.

LETHO

The patron of freedom, Letho is chaotic neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of broken chains, and grants access to the Liberation domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the scimitar.

LIE

The patron of community, Lie is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a group of people of varying species seated around a table eating together, and grants access to the Community domain (described in the Book of Exalted Deeds). His favored weapon is the net.

LO

The patron of oozes, Lo is neutral evil. She is generally represented by a picture of mold and fungus. Lo grants access to the Slime domain (described in Spell Compendium); her favored weapon is the throwing axe.

LOCE

The patron of dragons, Loce is neutral. He is generally depicted as a dragon with aspects of all the chromatic and metallic dragons, the specifics changing from image to image. Loce grants access to the Dragon domain (described in Spell Compendium), and his favored weapon is the javelin.

LORNA

The patron of rest, Lorna is chaotic neutral. She is generally represented by a picture of a sleeping figure under the light of day, and grants access to the Sloth domain (described in Spell Compendium). Lorna’s favored weapon is the club.

LUTH

The patron of charm, Luth is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of a stylized heart overlaid with flowers, and grants access to the Charm domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the net.

LYG

The patron of reptiles, Lyg is neutral evil. He is generally represented by the image of a coiled snake, and he grants access to the Scalykind domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the whip.

MAENAS

The patron of industry, Maenas is neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a mallet crossed by a carving awl, and grants access to the Craft domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the light mace.

MAEL

The patron of extraordinary beauty, Mael is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of an ephemerally beautiful male of whatever species his cleric is. Mael grants access to the Lust domain (described in Spell Compendium), and his favored weapon is the spear.

MAER

The patron of good, Maer is neutral good. He is generally depicted by a cloudless sunrise over a calm sea with no land in sight, and grants access to the Good domain. His favored weapon is the sling.

MAQUENA

The patron of inquests, Maquena is lawful neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a hooded humanoid holding a large tome in one hand and a red-hot iron in the other. Maquena grants access to the Inquisition domain (described in Spell Compendium), and his favored weapon is the heavy mace.

MARTA

The patron of fey, Marta is neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a satyr in the middle of a sylvan glade, and grants access to the Fey domain (described in the Book of Exalted Deeds). His favored weapon is the rapier.

MATA

The patron of hunger, Mata is neutral evil. He is generally depicted by the image of a gaping mouth, too wide to tell what kind of creature it belongs to. Mata grants access to the Hunger domain (described in Spell Compendium) and his favored weapon is the falchion.

MEDILIMB

The patron of gluttony, Medilimb is chaotic neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a man feasting at an overloaded table while the walls around him are burning, and he grants access to the Gluttony domain (described in Spell Compendium). Medilimb’s favored weapon is the ranseur.

MELCH

The patron of envy, Melch is neutral evil. She is generally depicted as a pair of disembodied green eyes, and grants access to the Envy domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the dagger.

MILME

The patron of greed, Milme is neutral evil. He is generally depicted by a pile of treasure, and grants access to the Greed domain (described in Spell Compendium). Milme’s favored weapon is the shortsword.

MORBEN

The patron of dark elves, Morben is neutral evil. She is generally depicted by the image of a drow female standing atop a pile of surface elf corpses. Morben grants access to the Drow domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the light mace.

NAEG

The patron of pain, Naeg is neutral evil. She is generally depicted by the image of a creature screaming in agony, the species changing to match that of her cleric. Naeg grants access to the Pain domain (described in the Book of Vile Darkness), and her favored weapon is the whip.

NAUG

The patron of dwarves, Naug is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of a dwarf working at a forge, and grants access to the Dwarf domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the dwarven waraxe.

NAUR

The patron of fire, Naur is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of a raging inferno with no apparent fuel, and grants access to the Fire domain. Her favored weapon is the shortbow.

NAUTH

The patron of thoughts, Nauth is neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a humanoid head of indeterminate features with glowing eyes, and grants access to the Mind domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the sling.

NAW

The patron of planning, Naw is lawful neutral. She is generally represented by the image of a map of an unidentified region, and grants access to the Planning domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the quarterstaff.

NEN

The patron of water, Nen is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of an unending sea, teaming with life under the waves. Nen grants access to the Water domain, and her favored weapon is the scimitar.

NINQUA

The patron of cold, Ninqua is neutral evil. She is generally depicted by the image of a frozen tundra, and grants access to the Cold domain (described in Spell Compendium). Ninqua’s favored weapon is the light pick.

NOS

The patron of families, Nos is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of a mother holding her baby son, and grants access to the Family domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the halberd.

NURU

The patron of undead, Nuru is neutral evil. He is generally depicted as the image of a vampire overlooking an army of skeletons and zombies, and grants access to the Deathbound domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the dire flail.

OLOR

The patron of dreams, Olor is neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a sleeping creature, the species matching his cleric. Olor grants access to the Dream domain (described in Spell Compendium), and his favored weapon is the bolas.

OMA

The patron of heralds, Oma is neutral good. She is generally depicted by the image of ranked trumpets and grants access to the Herald domain (described in the Book of Exalted Deeds). Her favored weapon is the dagger.

ORME

The patron of wrath, Orme is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of a violent storm, always with at least five bolts of lightning visible. Orme grants access to the Wrath domain (described in the Book of Exalted Deeds), and her favored weapon is the greatsword.

OSANWE

The patron of mentalists, Osanwe is neutral. She is generally represented by the image of several stones spinning around a woman’s head, and grants access to the Mentalism domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the dart.

PELE

The patron of retribution, Pele is lawful neutral. She is generally represented by the image of two armored knights trading blows. Pele grants access to the Retribution domain (described in Spell Compendium); her favored weapon is the battleaxe.

PERIAN

The patron of halflings, Perian is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted as a halfling spinning a sling, and grants access to the Halfling domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the sling.

PUIG

The patron of purity, Puig is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of a crystal clear stream cascading over a mountain waterfall, and grants access to the Purification domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the quarterstaff.

RADAG

The patron of animals, Radag is neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of a wolf pack feasting on a felled elk, and grants access to the Animal domain. Her favored weapon is the whip.

RAMB

The patron of force, Ramb is neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of an arrow breaking in mid-flight, and grants access to the Force domain (described in Spell Compendium). Ramb’s favored weapon is the heavy crossbow.

RAN

The patron of the moon, Ran is chaotic neutral. He is generally represented by the image of the full moon, and grants access to the Moon domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the scimitar.

RAUG

The patron of demons, Raug is neutral evil. She is generally depicted by the image of a bat-winged humanoid, the specific details of her figure changing with the species of her clerics. Raug grants access to the Demonic domain (described in the Book of Vile Darkness), and her favored weapon is the spiked gauntlet.

RAUMO

The patron of storms, Raumo is chaotic neutral. She is generally represented by a picture of a forking lightning bolt, and grants access to the Storm domain (described in Spell Compendium). Raumo’s favored weapon is the morningstar.

RAUTA

The patron of metal, Rauta is lawful neutral. He is generally represented by the image of a warhammer inscribed with numerous runes, and grants access to the Metal domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the warhammer.

REDH

The patron of plants, Redh is chaotic neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of a spreading oak tree with half its foliage in autumn gold and the other half in spring green; he grants access to the Plant domain. Redh’s favored weapon is the club.

RINC

The patron of tricks, Rinc is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by a deck of tarot cards with the fool showing. Rinc grants access to the Trickery domain; her favored weapon is the hand crossbow.

SEIN

The patron of renewal, Sein is neutral good. She is generally represented by the image of a new sapling growing amid the burned-out remains of a forest fire. Sein grants access to the Renewal domain (described in Spell Compendium) and her favored weapon is the light crossbow.

TELETH

The patron of destruction, Teleth is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of a crumbling rock wall struck by lightning, and grants access to the Destruction domain. Her favored weapon is the greataxe.

TENCEL

The patron of spells, Tencel is neutral. She is generally represented by a picture of a wizard’s spellbook, and grants access to the Spell domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the dagger.

THAW

The patron of corruption, Thaw is neutral evil. She is generally depicted by the image of a blackened and twisted willow surrounded by festering swampland. Thaw grants access to the Corruption domain (described in the Book of Vile Darkness); her favored weapon is the spiked chain.

THENID

The patron of law, Thenid is lawful neutral. She is generally depicted by a pair of balanced scales, and grants access to the Law domain. Her favored weapon is the warhammer.

THUL

The patron of wind, Thul is chaotic neutral. She is generally represented by the image of a desert cyclone, and grants access to the Windstorm domain (described in Spell Compendium). Thul’s favored weapon is the falchion.

TOLTHO

The patron of summoning, Toltho is neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of an empty summoning circle, and grants access to the Summoner domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the net.

TONO

The patron of creation, Tono is neutral good. She is generally depicted by the image of a hatching egg, and grants access to the Creation domain (described in Spell Compendium). Tono’s favored weapon is the light hammer.

TORTHO

The patron of control, Tortho is lawful neutral. She is generally depicted by the image of manacles and chains, and grants access to the Domination domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the whip.

TRASTOLUG

The patron of chaos, Trastolug is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by a riot of swirling colors, and grants access to the Chaos domain. Her favored weapon is the dire flail.

TYALIE

The patron of competitions, Tyalie is chaotic neutral. He is generally depicted by the image of two humanoids wrestling, the species changing to match his clerics. Tyalie grants access to the Competition domain (described in Spell Compendium), and his favored weapon is the longsword.

UMHUR

The patron of diabolicalness, Umhur is neutral evil. She is generally depicted by the image of a dagger plunging into a humanoid back, and grants access to the Diabolic domain (described in the Book of Vile Darkness). Umhur’s favored weapon is the spiked chain.

UNGOL

The patron of spiders, Ungol is chaotic neutral. He is generally represented by the image of a monstrous spider; Ungol grants access to the Spider domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the handaxe.

USANDA

The patron of illusions, Usanda is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by an image of a lion overlaid with the ghostly image of a lamb, and grants access to the Illusion domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the sai.

VALA

The patron of vanity, Vala is neutral good. He is generally represented by the image of a peacock, and grants access to the Pride domain (described in Spell Compendium). His favored weapon is the greatsword.

VERCA

The patron of insanity, Verca is chaotic neutral. She is generally depicted by a confusing jumble of shapes that changes in every rendition, and grants access to the Madness domain (described in Spell Compendium). Her favored weapon is the sickle.

VORONWIE

The patron of endurance, Voronwie is neutral. She is generally depicted by an image of two bears wrestling each other on their hind legs; she grants access to the Endurance domain (described in the Book of Exalted Deeds). Voronwie’s favored weapon is the greatclub.

YANWE

The patron of pleasure, Yanwe is neutral good. He is generally depicted by the image of a couple copulating, the species of the couple dependant on the cleric. Yanwe grants access to the Pleasure domain (described in the Book of Exalted Deeds), and his favored weapon is the whip.
